Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clinic. The ideal candidate will have a background in front desk operations, medical scheduling, and exceptional customer service skills. As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering top-notch service to our patients.
Duties:
- · Welcome and greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
- · Registers New Patients, scan in Insurance card and Picture ID
- · Verifies and updates demographic and insurance eligibility
- · Monitors reception area and patient flow , notifies patient of delays
- · Answers questions and gives information, directly or on telephone
- · Schedules, cancels and reschedule appointments for all Providers
- · Receives co-pays, patient balances for services rendered and NCNS Fees
- · Verifies patient’s insurance and LME for Medicaid through NC Tracks and other insurance websites
- · Notifies patients of balance and collects balance
- · Notifies Providers and Billing Dept of any changes by creating remarks on patients account
- · Opens Office/Closes Office, checks to make sure lobby is clean
- · Calculates co-pay and verifies deposit for end of the day
- · Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate personnel
- · Does appointment confirmation /reminder calls

- - Assist with medical records management and ensure confidentiality
- - Assist Office manager and Practice Manager with daily duites as needed
- -Assist with lab collection
- - Handle inquiries about office services, appointments, and general information
- - Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area
- - Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- - Support other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or in a similar role, preferably in a Behaviorall health ,medical or dental setting
Proficiency in medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of medcial terminology and familiarity with medical records management
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and work well under pressure
- Experience working in a medical office is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
-Ability to work a flexable schedule based on contract needs
-Must have experience in Word and Excel
