What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Care Technician position at Integrated Resources, Inc ( IRI )?
PURPOSE Responsible for performing high level of animal handing, dosing, sample collections and data recordings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Minimum of 3 years experience in animal science / lab support
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Hands on experience in rodent animal handling and in-life measurements.
• Hands on experience with bleeding and sample collection
• Dosing animals with different route of administration including PO, IP, and SC.
• Performs and records daily food and health checks on various pharmacology studies
• Experience in animal anesthesia and euthanasia
• Performs post-procedural and post-surgical monitoring
• Performs sample and data collection
• Performs necropsy and tissue collection
• Receives and maintains adequate stock of animal care and research supplies
• Technical assistance with injections administration
