Overview
Incumbent will fill a key role within the Accounting team. This position will support various aspects of accounting and finance for the company. The successful candidate will need to be effective and experienced in the general accounting function. The position requires solid accounting experience combined with strong analytical skills. The candidate will need to possess strong problem-solving skills, work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with others. The position will support various aspects of the financial close cycle including, but not limited to invoicing customer, dunning on invoices, journal entries, and intercompany transactions, while ensuring those comply with company’s regulations, professional standards, and GAAP reporting guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly billings for customers that are billed in arrears, including:
- Running system reports to support billing amounts.
- Entering billing information in the ERP system to create bills.
- Sending bills to customers and answering customer questions.
- Following up on overdue bills.
- Moving billings between different departments.
- Run customer credit cards.
- Assist in month-end close when applicable.
- Work as a team within the Accounting department and assist in standardizing procedures.
- Finds ways to streamline daily processes to deliver efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Basic proficiency in MS suite of products including Excel.• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, to be able to effectively answer customer questions.• Excellent organizational skills.• Detail orientated with strong follow-through skills.• Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.• Handle confidential information with complete integrity. • Ability to work as a team player.
