Description
- Receive funded loan reports and exception reports from indirect vendor, and complete maintenance in the Credit Union core system.
- Perform quality control audits of 25% of all funded loans and work with third-party funder to correct any exceptions.
- Maintain current Credit Union loans by completing any post funding corrections to the loan including interest rate, payment, term and adding distributions for automatic payments.
- Maintain current Home Equity loans and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) loans by processing payoffs, payment corrections, lien releases, subordination requests, etc.
- Audit scanned loan files in the Credit Union optical system.
- Audit and review loans for accuracy that are funded by other members in the department and verify they have been scanned into the optical system.
- Retrieve service contracts to prepare and file for cancellation refunds.
- Answer general loan questions received through the department group telephone/email.
Designated safety-sensitive position. Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen (which will include marijuana testing) and adhere to the Drug and Alcohol Policy for duration of employment with the Credit Union.
Requirements
- Equivalent to a high school education.
- Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) registration with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) required.
- At least one to three years of similar or related experience or financial experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Compliance with Federal Bank Secrecy and Money laundering rules required.
- Proficient in 10 Key, typewriter, computer keyboard
- Excellent listening, communication and telephone skills.
- Ability to make decisions with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work as a team on projects with other departments.
