We are seeking a Technical Writer to support government customers in a fast-paced environment as a member of a greater multi-functional engineering team. To efficiently execute programs in support of primarily DoD customers, you will need to regularly exercise strong time management skills to both multitask and balance program priorities and deadlines. You will need to proactively communicate and collaborate with teammates and customers while demonstrating exceptional written skills and displaying consistent attention to detail. In addition to supporting and representing your team at internal and customer meetings, you will support customer-site milestone events for validation and verification of technical documentation products will be necessary. Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating with technical and provisioning representatives to develop installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
- Researching and writing project plans, providing briefing input
- Developing illustrations for technical manuals, installation instructions, and parts lists
- Participating in prototype, validation, and verification events for technical documentation as required
- Developing Programs of Instruction and validating training material and devices for New Equipment Training (NET)
Required
- BS or BA in related field
- Minimum of 5 years of related technical writing experience in DoD/military
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of MIL-STD-63002 and MIL-STD-40051
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Desired
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Arbortext Editor, and CAD
