Invictus4Core is an outpatient behavioral health clinic that provides services to adults experiencing substance use and mental health disorders.
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Medical Receptionist to join Invictus4Core. The ideal candidate will be an individual that has compassion for those who suffer from substance use and mental health disorders and can interact positively with this patient demographic to provide an environment that is welcoming and judgement-free. The receptionist position will be responsible for managing patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, performing administrative tasks, collaborating with the treatment team, and providing exceptional customer service in a medical office setting.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Answer and manage incoming calls, providing support to clients
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain electronic medical records accurately and confidentially
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information regarding services
- Assist with billing inquiries and insurance claims processing
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Complete medical records requests
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure proper clinic flow
- Submit weekly reports to management that measures KPI's and important operational metrics
- Ensure medical records, releases of information, demographics, and other clinical items are kept up to date
**Skills:**
- High School Education or GED
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, OneDrive)
- Must be comfortable working in an environment in which you will handle multiple tasks at once in an organized manner
- Must be detail-oriented and exemplify good time management
- Proficiency in medical office procedures and terminology
- Experience with phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- 2 years of previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with receptionist duties in a behavioral health setting is preferred
