MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Head the HR department as a hands-on leader and provide guidance to management and staff on all HR related matters including employee relations, compliance, policies, procedures and programs
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to develop, evaluate and execute HR strategies that support business priorities and goals
- Identify compliance, legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the human resources function and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Stay current on legislation decisions and industry trends
- Implement software tools to better manage the people function that will integrate with our new ERP system
- Lead annual focal performance management process to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization using Lattice tool and manage to timely communication to employees
- Conduct salary surveys within labor market to determine competitive wages. Analyze wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan. Administer compensation program to ensure compliance with laws and equity within the organization
- Drive the annual benefit renewal process, review and approve the monthly benefits statement, and respond to inquiries from employees and resolve issues
- Manage recruitment to hire process per planned budgeted hires by collaborating with hiring managers to recruit top talent.
- Design and implement employee events, programs and initiatives to keep morale high, drive employee engagement, and keep turnover low
- Work with immigration law attorney to manage visa and immigration cases for H-1, Green Card, F-1, etc. · Oversee management and employee training as required to meet company needs and federal, state and local laws
- Collaborate with EVP, Finance and outside legal counsel on stock administration so records are complete and accurate · Manage and handle administrative duties: Maintain job descriptions, Org Charts, Headcount Report, LOA, Worker’s Comp reporting and claims, New Hire Onboarding / Termination Offboarding, etc. · Champion the Quality Policy
- Manage administrative office staff
- Other responsibilities as required to support the success of the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Managed and led all aspects of Human Resources in a small to mid-size organization for a minimum of 5 years. Medical Device/Life Science experience preferred. Manufacturing environment and Global experience a plus
- Minimum years of relevant, progressive HR experience: Sr. Director: 12 years / Vice President: 14 years
- Ability to be hands-on and work in an ambiguous environment with flexibility in response to changing priorities and needs
- Working knowledge of employment law, compliance regulations, benefits, compensation, recruitment immigration, stock administration and industry best practices. Excellent employee relations skills. Succession planning experience a plus.
- Successfully evaluated and implemented HR software tools to automate and streamline the HR function
- Ability to plan, execute and scale the organization to meet business needs
- Highly organized with excellent attention-to-detail and tactical execution
- Strong interpersonal skills, teambuilding skills, customer service skills and both verbal and written communication skills
- Highly professional with ability to build partnerships at all levels, exceptional ethics and confidential approach to highly sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
SHRM or HRCI certification highly desired
