Job Overview
Manages multiple IT development / implementation projects of varying complexity and ensures on-time and on-budget delivery for clients. Contributes to new business development and maintaining and strengthening client base though project and client engagement. Supports the development of new offerings and customization of many syndicated deliverables from the time of SOW approval through Implementation and Turnover.
Essential Functions
• Manages the day-to-day execution of the project with both internal and external resources in the requirements gathering, design, development, testing and delivery phases for client solutions.
• Leads teams in the review and analysis of client request and requirements and works to ensure the deliveries align to those defined needs. Coordinates with the clients at all levels to ensure a high client satisfaction.
• Develops project plan with timelines and deliverables and leads project to successful completion, on-time and on-budget, from start to finish with limited senior management guidance.
• Works with Project Team Members to recommends improvements and alternative solutions to resolve problems. Communication, coordination with project team, control, tracking, quality assurance, planning, and resolving issues are critical tasks for this role. Communicates project status, issues and risks both internally and with the client team.
• Serves as key point of contact with client during the project life cycle.
• Develops and/or elevates new business opportunities through the identification of follow-on work and new leads.
• Provides follow-up with client after project deliverable have been completed to ensure client satisfaction. Conducts a Lessons Learned session with internal team at the completion of the Project.
• Proactively continues to strengthen subject matter expertise through on the job experience, participation in conferences and symposiums and other forums for professional knowledge sharing.
• Proactively mentors, coaches and shares subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 7-10 years of related experience, including consulting and life sciences industry experience preferred
• Demonstrates excellent project management skills and client influencing and relationship building skills.
• Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.
• Experienced with developing consultative relationships with senior level managers and executives at clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities and deliver on tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area.
• Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills.
• Has established network and referral contacts.
• Possesses the necessary subject matter expertise and project management skills able to effectively manage multiple projects across more than one CoE.
