What are the responsibilities and job description for the VOLUNTEER SHERIFF CHAPLAIN position at Isanti County?
Isanti County is seeking volunteer Sheriff Chaplains.
While working in a volunteer position, the incumbent is in an unpaid role and is not eligible for County paid benefits.
Chaplains provide short term assistance in times of crises to provide a link between victims/families and law enforcement. Chaplains also act as a support person to law enforcement during critical incidents.
The Isanti County Sheriff’s Office shall ensure that office chaplains are properly appointed, trained and supervised to carry out their responsibilities without financial compensation.
Requirements:
· Possession of a valid driver’s license.
· Successful completion of an appropriate-level background investigation.
· A minimum of 5 years of successful counseling experience.
· Being above reproach, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, be free from addiction to alcohol or other drugs and excessive debt.
· Current e-mail address.
· Must own a smart phone for paging purposes.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMTION:
A fully completed Isanti County application must be received by Human Resources.
Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a background investigation including a criminal history search. Costs of the background will be paid for by Isanti County.
