What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compounder position at ITW Pro Brands?
Summary:
This position is responsible for working closely with Quality Control and line operators in the production of batches to be processed. Follow batch sheet instructions and ensure that all raw materials are accounted for. Monitors inventory and rotates stock using the oldest material first. Safety and OSHA standards must be adhered to at all times.
Essential Duties:
- Works closely with quality lab technician for lab testing
- Prepares appropriate labels for barrels, tanks, drums, and other related batch information
- Weighs raw materials/ingredients maintaining safety and OSHA standards.
- Minimizes overstock and removal of slow obsolete and redundant raw materials.
- Ensures raw chemicals are readily available for production as needed.
- Mixes batches for aerosol and liquid lines.
- Transparent tanks and hopper when needed
- Follows set manufacturing instructions, SOPs and GMP
- Utilizes pump to transfer raw ingredients into proper containers or barrels and proper lines for container filling.
- Operates forklift and ensures barrels are transferred to the staging area and stored correctly.
- Follows the 80/20 philosophy in prioritizing daily tasks and serves as a contributing member of Production Staff.
- Professional represents the company in diverse settings, including active participation in required compliance audits and other related meetings.

- Supports Production Staff to ensure coverage of production operations.
- Achieves targeted levels as defined by the Production Supervisor.

- Act with strong listening and analytical skills to develop/maintain relationships and deliver results.
- Act following all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer proficiency within a Windows-based environment. Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to compute basic math to perform the role
- Possess basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot machines and perform minor repairs when needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
