RMA of Northern California , part of the RMA N etwork of top fertility practices in the United States, is seeking an Embryology Lab Assistant to join our growing San Francisco office. This is a full-time position, Sunday - Thursday 6 : 30am-3 : 30pm.

Job Purpose :

This position will be responsible for executing general IVF laboratory techniques according to established policies as well as adhering to RMA’s quality assurance / control operating procedures. Job candidates must exhibit an exceptional aptitude for attention to detail, lab record maintenance, and quality control documentation.

Responsibilities :

• Follow procedures for reporting and maintaining patient records
• Responsible for documenting daily quality control data
• Understand lab operating manuals and quality assurance / control program requirements
• Learn guidelines for performing laboratory services
• Understand OSHA requirements for safe laboratory operation
• Participate in laboratory operations, procedures, and projects as directed
• Follow stringent chain of custody policies
• Culture dish preparation and related lab duties
• Responsible for ordering / receiving lab supplies and maintaining inventories
• Adhere to quality control policies and document all quality control activities
• Communicate with clinical staff
• Attend laboratory meetings
