Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Works directly with bank staff to proactively identify cash management sales opportunities, leads and/or product upgrades within an existing portfolio.
- Attend individual and joint sales calls with customers and prospects to sell cash management products and services.
- Collaborates with Business Bankers to support winning new customer relationships and deepen existing customer relationships in a cost-effective manner.
- Works with customers, branches, and departments to set up new ACH customers and assist with questions on the services they are utilizing.
- Assists Business Bankers in managing existing clients or prospects to deliver a consistent experience both initially and with the ongoing servicing of their needs.
- Identifies customer needs, collects pertinent information, and creates competitive cash management proposals that align with bank profitability goals.
- Coordinates with Ixonia Bank’s third-party vendors to deliver additional cash management services to clients and prospects.
- Effectively presents cash management proposals to Business Bankers for approval prior to meeting with clients and prospects.
- Works with Retail Bankers to establish procedures for opening and documenting new deposit accounts for commercial customers.
- Follows up on referrals in a timely manner.
- Makes referrals to other departments when appropriate.
- Favorably represents Ixonia Bank at community functions and meetings.
Operations and Training
- Understands and adheres to all regulatory compliance-related requirements associated with the cash management department and products.
- Assist in the development of Treasury Management Products.
- Present Treasury Management subject matter to Commercial Bankers.
- Provides regular and on-going training to bank staff on cash management products and services, including new products being offered and enhancements to existing products and services.
- Provides higher level of training or presentations to outside groups, focus groups or civic organizations.
- Prepares analysis comparisons for prospective customer’s that compare Ixonia Bank’s fees to those of the customer’s current bank.
- Educates customers on cash management services, provides product demonstrations, establishes products, and provides support and training for successful use of products/services.
- Coordinates implementation of all cash management products with the client, third party vendors and the client’s partner.
- Contacts customers following implementation to identify any issues or questions.
- Assists Business Banking Head in managing third party vendors and relationships.
Risk Management
- Assists in evaluating risks associated with cash management products and services.
Product Development
- Participates and provides input on cash management product development and pricing by providing client feedback, competitive market/industry information and business requirements to Business Banking Head and Product and Pricing Committee.
