JOB TITLE: People Solutions Generalist
FUNCTION: People Solutions
REPORTS TO: Director of People Solutions
Role Purpose
The People Solutions Generalist performs HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Director of People Solutions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: HRIS, onboarding, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Serves as subject matter expert and provide ongoing maintenance and administration for the HRIS database (ADP Work Force Now).
- Conducts HR audits to ensure stores are in Federal and State compliance regarding HR processes, regulations and other general guidelines.
- Assist in the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Coordinate or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Coordinates new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- Frequent travel may be required to conduct on-site investigations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; including V look-up, and pivot tables
- Excellent relationship management skills (effective communication, listening conflict resolution).
- The successful individual will be positive, proactive and flexible, and must possess a strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple assignments/tasks simultaneously.
- Must have a high level of confidentiality.
- A degree in Human Resources or Business is preferred.
- Adept at working in a very high paced environment with taut timelines.

Educational Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in human resource management is preferred;
- OR one to two years’ experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
