What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN, Women's Center position at Jackson County Memorial Hospital?
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the maternity and newborn care setting. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including: maternal and fetal status, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments. Participates in performance improvement activities. Requirements: Current Oklahoma state Registered Nurse Licensure. One or more years of recent Labor and Delivery/Post Partum/Newborn Nursery experience preferred. Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification*. BCLS required. (May be obtained during New Employee Orientation). Fetal monitoring workshop within the past 3 years* (Upon hire). Regulatory Requirement indicated with a “*” may be completed within 12 months of employment. Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
