Hiring: Senior Associate – Business Analyst (Technology)
Location: Iselin, NJ or New York, NY (Hybrid)
Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 base variable compensation 401(k) match benefits
We’re hiring a Senior Associate Business Analyst to join a high-performing Technology team within a financial services environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating business needs into clear requirements and working closely with development and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and document business and functional requirements (BRD, FRS, user stories, use cases, wireframes, data mappings, training materials)
- Partner with development teams to define functional solutions and improve product delivery
- Work closely with QA and development to ensure delivery meets requirements and usability standards
- Build subject matter expertise in your area of responsibility
- Provide SME support, product demonstrations, and training to internal and external users
Skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Finance, Business, Science, or a related field
- 4–6 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services
- Essential: experience supporting RFP processes and product/supplier selection
- Strong experience producing BRDs and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)
- Good understanding of the SDLC and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong capability in requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis
- Experience working in regulated and/or matrix organisations
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement systems is beneficial
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology teams
- Team player with a proactive, quality-focused mindset
