Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in their physician clinic.
HOURS: .
Generally you will work
32 hours per week 3 out of 4 weeks a month
and
40 hours per week 1 out of 4 weeks per month (when it is the physician's on-call weekend)
8:00am - 5:00pm - Monday thru Thursday
8:00am - 4:00pm - Friday's
You will work 40 hours per week some weeks and 32 hours per week other weeks (depending on the physician's schedule),
No weekends or holidays.
This position utilizes assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in providing comprehensive and competent patient care. Provides effective interaction with patients, family members and staff, and coordinates interdepartmental patient care activities while maintaining nursing standards within the scope of an LPN or CMA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process for the performance of patient care, to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care to achieve prioritized patient outcomes according to LPN or CMA scope of practice.
- Performs and maintains documentation in the EHR system.
- Communicates effectively with patient and physician.
- Promotes and ensures patient safety in performance of all responsibilities.
- Administers medications, treatments and procedures in a timely and safe manner according to physician orders and nursing policy, including appropriate performance of standard precautions, using two patient identifiers, and performing patient risk assessments every time.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Nebraska LPN License
- BLS
- Experience using Cerner EHR system, preferred.
- Flexible, able to multi task
- Team Player

- Quick Learner
