JOB SUMMARY
The position involves performing manual work in cleaning and related activities. Work involves a variety of housekeeping tasks performed under close supervision. Work is assigned and performed in accordance with established routines. Instructions from supervisors are specific in nature and work is subject to close inspection during progress or upon completion.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs manual tasks in mopping, scrubbing, dusting, polishing and similar housekeeping tasks.
- Dusts and cleans offices, and exercises care in assuring materials are not defaced, damaged or destroyed.
- Cleans restrooms and fixtures and also replenishes supplies.
- Cleans dust and dirt from ceiling, walls, pipes, fixtures, floors and windows.
- Strips, cleans, waxes and polishes floors.
- Operates various powered equipment (i.e., mechanical scrubbers, polishers, washers) in performance of assigned duties.
- Cleans wards and resident areas.
- Cleans contaminated areas using such protective clothing, devices and agents as designated.
- Performs simple non-skilled maintenance to area and equipment.
- Performs work at assigned location during specified business hours.
- Performs related additional duties as required and assigned.
