Environment and Energy Law Associate Attorney

Jettison is representing a law firm who is seeking a talented and motivated Environmental and Energy Law Associate to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental and energy law, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

:

• Advocate for clients in complex environmental and energy matters before administrative bodies, regulatory agencies, and courts.
• Navigate and manage permitting processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and conduct due diligence for energy and environmental projects.
• Lead and support transactional matters in the energy and environmental sectors, including contract negotiations and deal structuring.
• Spearhead litigation efforts, including preparing and arguing motions, conducting depositions, making court appearances, and managing electronic discovery processes.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on emerging environmental and energy regulations and industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative legal solutions for clients' environmental and energy challenges.
  
  

Requirements

:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school; admission to NY bar.
• 3-6 years of demonstrable experience representing clients in a diverse range of environmental and/or energy matters.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to various audiences.
• Strong academic credentials and a track record of professional excellence.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and relevant software applications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
