Litigation Attorney

Position Overview

We are representing a law firm who is seeking a dedicated and skilled Litigation Attorney to join thier team. In this role, you will ensure that our clients receive top-notch legal care and achieve excellent results in their cases. Your responsibilities will involve interacting empathetically with clients, preparing their cases for trial, and engaging in negotiations with insurance companies to secure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical case reviews.
• Negotiate and settle cases during the pre-litigation stage or litigation stages.
• Review policies, claims, and other legal records to prepare for legal proceedings.
• Prepare, write, and argue legal documents including memos, liability theories, and demands.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies and manage client medical treatments and billing.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case status.
• Conduct intake meetings with new clients to assess and guide their cases.
• Manage a docket of cases in accordance with office policies.
• Conduct and attend Independent Medical Examinations (IME's), Examinations Under Oath (EUO's), and record statements.
• Uphold a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism throughout all processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed in the state of Ohio and in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in personal injury law is required.
• Experience in medical malpractice is preferred.
• Possess strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
• Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills are necessary.
• Demonstrable strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively through both verbal and written electronic correspondence.
• Analytics skills with keen attention to detail are essential.
• Must be capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
