POSITION SUMMARY:
The manufacturing operator is responsible for safely operating machinery and packaging equipment; inspecting for film quality; trouble-shooting operability and quality issues; Meeting production goals by assisting teammates; Train others as needed. Contribute to manufacturing excellence and flawless execution.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet Safety, Quality, Productivity and Teamwork standards
- Proactively involved in identifying safety hazards and recommending solutions
- Machine set up, load and unload equipment and materials
- Monitor speed of dies, rolls and ovens, adjust as needed
- Communicate information to others in relation to the job.
- Splice product rolls
- Check Quality of product & shipping packaging
- Ability to use and accurately read tape measure
- Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
- Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Document process parameters
- Understand ISO and customer requirements
- Regularly perform all housekeeping tasks
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Basic math functions
- Attention to details
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Good oral/written communication
- Ability to add, subtract and multiply simple numbers
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- 1-2 years previous manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Working knowledge of oriented Polypropylene and extrusion process (preferred)
