2nd Shift

About the Role
The Electrician / Electronic Technician role and her/his team plays a vital role in our operational success at our client’s expansive global Life Sciences manufacturing and operations facility. Your talent to perform preventative maintenance and repair highly technical instrumentation associated with this operation is highly valued. You also will use your critical thinking skills to identify risk of equipment failure and eliminate the presence of that risk. We are seeking your expertise as an Electrician / Electronic Technician for our critical Life Sciences global manufacturing facility located in the heart of the mid-West between two major cities.

Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the maintenance on all electronic and pneumatic instruments including meters, monitors, transmitters, flowmeters, level devices, switches, alarms, PLC’s, transducers, regulators, control valves, automatic valves, actuators, and solenoid valves.
Implements the preventative maintenance program for these instruments.
Demonstrates the proper use and care of tools and instruments including a thorough knowledge of basic maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting procedures.
Ability to read and understand related documents such as manuals, loop sheets, P & ID, diagrams, and ladder logic and Building Automation systems.
Installation and repair building & process related equipment; wire single and three phase motors (single & two speed); run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, electrical controls etc.
Understanding of electrical distribution systems, fire, life and safety systems, control systems, including but not limited to, correct amperage ratings, sizing of conductors, grounds, panels, and raceways. Must be knowledgeable and comply with both State and Local codes. Capable of troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, modifying, and installing instrumentation equipment and controls as assigned by the supervisor or the project leader, and/or customers.
Perform preventative maintenance on and all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Provide technical support to customers regarding design, installation, repairs, and safe operation of equipment and systems.
Ability to understand electronic instrument work which includes both 24 VDC & 110VAC supply, and both analog and digital signals. And electrical systems 110 VAC to 480 VAC.
Additional duties as assigned which helps with facility operations.

Basic Qualifications
Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and pass MVR check.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and use of ladders and lifts.
Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's guidelines.
Ability to wear respirators and other PPE as required.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
Ability and willingness to be on the on-call list for emergencies and work shifts as needed.
Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc.
Work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed.
Committed to follow and support safety practices.

Other Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action activities.
Participate in conference calls using WebEx, Teams, etc
Develop a strong collaborative team-based environment.
Lead continuous improvement events and generate cost savings.
Strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.
Exemplary Communication skills with conflict resolution.
Must be able to write and speak with precision both in writing and orally.
Must possess on-the-job professional stature.
Must possess high level critical-thinking skills.

Education and Licensures
Candidate must have electrical license/Journeyman License.
Completion of an applicable technical training program.
Five years of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
Associates degree in Instrumentation a big plus.
Knowledge of computers, software, computerized control systems, and interfacing instrument control systems.
Military or job-related experience will be considered as a substituted for credentialing.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work alone, in confined spaces and extreme temperatures, climb multiple sets of stairs, work off ladders, staging, lifts or other elevated platforms.
Potential for exposure to hazardous materials, heights, temperature extremes, equipment in‑motion, dusty and dirty conditions, stooping, bending and heavy lifting. The proper use of the correct Personal Protective Equipment for each task as well as compliance with all applicable safety Standard Procedures is a must. May work variable shifts and 24‑hour on‑call as required.

Other
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Potential 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts needed. Weekend, holiday, and overtime may be required to meet business or customer needs. This operation works 24x7x365.
Acceptance into the position includes agreement of area and shift rotation if needed.
