Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Preschool teacher to join our team. You work will work 8 hours per day Monday to Friday (full time) for the Toddler Room (12 months to 24 months)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing lesson plans that align with the curriculum for preschool-aged children
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and development
- Provide individualized attention to each child to support their social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a structured daily routine
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to promote a positive learning experience
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall preschool program
- Flexible and team worker
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with preschool or daycare-aged children
- Strong understanding of child welfare and development principles
- Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Proficient in classroom management techniques to create an engaging learning environment
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of young learners
- 45 hours in child care
- CDA an asset
