Information Risk Analyst - AI (Remote - Oregon)

This is a highly strategic and technically engaging role focused on evaluating and mitigating risks associated with generative AI tools and platforms. You’ll work closely with project teams to support the secure and ethical implementation of AI technologies, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity and compliance standards. With a focus on frameworks, audits, and risk assessments, the position demands both technical knowledge of AI systems and strong judgment in ethical and regulatory matters. The work is fully remote, within Pacific Standard Time hours, offering flexibility while contributing to critical organizational innovations.

Accountabilities:

• Conduct risk assessments on generative AI systems such as Claude 3 (Anthropic) and Microsoft Azure GPT-4 within secure internal VPC environments.
• Work collaboratively with ChatAI project teams to understand roadmap objectives and embed security considerations into daily operations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain risk management frameworks tailored to AI technologies and applications.
• Ensure AI use aligns with applicable privacy regulations, legal standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Regularly audit systems and security protocols, reporting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Serve as the security liaison between cross-functional teams, including data science, IT, and business units.
• Stay informed of evolving best practices in AI security, ethics, and risk management.

• 5–10 years of experience in information risk management, with at least 2 years of exposure to AI-related technologies.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and deployment models.
• Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including associated security protocols.
• Any AI certifications accepted (CIAP preferred).
• Analytical mindset with a critical eye toward identifying potential vulnerabilities and risks.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ethical awareness regarding AI and its societal implications.
• Utilities industry experience is a plus, but not required.
