Responsibilities

As a Consulting Staff Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to

• Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations.
• Providing advice on financial risks and opportunities to clients.
• Collaborating with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures and systems.
• Assisting with tax preparations and returns.
• Participating in financial audits and implementing audit recommendations.
• Providing financial analysis and forecasts to assist in decision making.
• Participating in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
• A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on bank reconciliations.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software, such as QuickBooks, MS Excel, and other business intelligence tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for thinking creatively to overcome challenges.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• An ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
