We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico. This key role involves assisting with a wide variety of mid-level accounting functions within the finance department. The Staff Accountant will also work closely with the Accounting Manager on financial planning and systems implementation, as well as other special projects. Responsibilities:• Assist in the preparation of journal entries and maintenance of the general ledger• Support the Accounting Manager in financial coordination and analysis• Participate in Medicaid recertifications and maintenance processes• Handle Social Security Benefit applications and their ongoing maintenance• Conduct billing analysis to ensure accuracy and efficiency• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review• Contribute to the implementation of new systems within the finance department• Collaborate with other areas of the finance department including Billing, Payroll, etc.• Help in the execution of special projects assigned by the Accounting Manager• Cross-train between all areas of the finance department to ensure smooth operations.
