Job Details
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of three accounting professionals, including an Accounts Receivable & Credit Specialist, an Accounts Payable Clerk, and an Inventory Management Clerk.
- Ensure team members are well-trained, organized, and manage their time effectively.
- Oversee and participate in the month-end close process, including cash reconciliations, account analysis, and consolidation of financial data.
- Prepare and record journal entries in the General Ledger on a daily, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of monthly commission reports as per contractual deadlines.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and annual financial reporting packages for the company and associated trusts.
- Review transactions to ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the annual CPA review and audit process.
- Assist with the preparation of governmental returns and forms, including Payroll Tax, Sales Tax, Property Tax, and Value Added Tax.
- Collaborate with external accounting and banking personnel during the review process.
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage credit balances, process refunds, and apply adjustments to billing records.
- Ensure confidentiality of all financial records.
- Oversee daily cash reporting, review and approve timecards, and perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Familiarity with international accounting practices and foreign currency translation is preferred.
- Experience with Epicor Accounting system is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to write and present financial information effectively. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work with complex mathematical concepts and demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Highly organized, self-starter with exceptional communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines. Capable of making independent decisions and working collaboratively with diverse personalities.
