We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and overseeing our financial operations, ensuring compliance with ASC606, and delivering accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
As our Assistant Controller, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Assisting in the preparation and management of financial statements in compliance with ASC606.
- Overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate, complete, and in accordance with company policies.
- Assisting in the development and management of annual budgets, providing regular financial forecasts and conducting variance analyses.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial understanding and accountability across the organization.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Participating in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assisting with internal and external audits, implementing recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior finance team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Finance industry.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.
- SaaS industry experience highly preferred.
