We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these areas, coupled with a deep understanding of the legal industry. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a variety of issues related to retirement, welfare, and fringe benefits.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, if necessary.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Prepare and file legal documents such as lawsuits, appeals, wills, contracts, and deeds.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Communicate with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case.
- Conduct legal research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate a defense, or to initiate legal action.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in the areas of retirement, welfare, and fringe benefits.
- Active member of the bar in the state of practice.
- Proven background in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
