We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to contribute in a fast-paced environment while gaining valuable experience in the legal industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil defense litigation, with a minimum of 1-6 years of litigation experience. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and complex cases, while enjoying a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, trials, and appeals.
- Represent clients in civil defense litigation matters, providing strategic legal advice and guidance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure effective and efficient case management.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact clients or case outcomes.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client meetings, to help grow the firm's client base.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil defense litigation.
- Proven track record of managing all stages of litigation, from inception through resolution.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional ethics and integrity.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
