We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Permanent Audit Manager in the Mortgage industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organization where you will play a pivotal role in our audit department. This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for managing and directing audit activities. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of professionals, ensuring the reliability of our financial data, the effectiveness of our internal controls, and the compliance with regulations and laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the planning and execution of audit engagements, ensuring a high level of service and client satisfaction.
• Review and analyze tax returns for individuals, fiduciaries, partnerships, not-for-profit entities, and corporations.
• Conduct tax projections and research tax issues to provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide guidance and supervision to audit staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Stay abreast of current industry trends and regulations to ensure the company is in compliance and to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information to clients.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and auditing, with a focus on the mortgage industry.
• Extensive knowledge of tax returns for individuals, fiduciaries, partnerships, not-for-profit entities, and corporations.
• Proficient in tax projections and tax research.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Experience in internal auditing and risk assessment.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in using accounting and auditing software.
• Commitment to staying current with industry trends, standards, and regulations.
