Responsibilities
As a Permanent Controller, you will play a pivotal role in our financial department. Your key responsibilities will include
- Overseeing all financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash flow, and month-end reconciliations.
- Preparing and presenting detailed, consolidated financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and potential areas of concern.
- Implementing and maintaining robust financial controls and processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
- Coordinating the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, driving efficiency and effectiveness across our financial operations.
- Managing relationships with external auditors and other key stakeholders, ensuring the timely completion of all audits and reviews.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar finance role, ideally within the engineering industry.
- Proven experience managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash flow, and month-end reconciliations.
- Demonstrated experience preparing consolidated financial reports for multiple entities.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, processes, and reporting standards.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- A professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
