Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.
- Use specialized software, such as Allen Bradley, AutoCAD, and HMI Programming, to design and test system solutions.
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful implementation of new projects.
- Conduct detailed feasibility studies for proposed equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Provide technical support to colleagues and other departments.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and suggestions for process and product improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and the manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with Allen Bradley, AutoCAD, Machine PLC, and HMI Programming.
- Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of applicable industry safety standards and regulations.
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus.
