Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of family law matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Conduct thorough legal research using resources such as LexusNexus and Westlaw to ensure accurate and up-to-date advice is provided to clients.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure a high level of client service is maintained.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
- Participate in business development activities to expand the firm’s family law practice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Must be a licensed attorney in good standing.
- Minimum of three years of experience in family law.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexusNexus and Westlaw.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle a high caseload and work under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding and sensitivity to the emotional dynamics of family law matters.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying current in the field of family law.
