Job Details
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess and respond to customer HVAC inquiries, collaborating with sales or working independently as a project engineer.
- Design HVAC systems for various buildings, following industry standards and regulations. Provide schematic designs for assessment and detailed designs during the contract phase. Perform load calculations, air distribution design, and other components.
- Prepare construction cost estimates with estimating staff, including vendor quotations and using the company's estimation program. Establish job costs with a directed profit margin.
- Present proposals to customers, including project details and estimated costs. Follow up to secure customer commitment.
- Assemble construction drawings and coordinate plan reviews as needed.
- Support engineering needs for service, refrigeration, and industrial ventilation departments.
- Ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Summary of Qualifications:
- BSME degree or HVAC Designer status
- CEM or similar certification desirable, with a minimum of 5 years' HVAC industry experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
