We are seeking an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our team in Baltimore.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of insurance defense litigation experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis of complex legal issues related to insurance defense litigation.
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs and opinions for all stages of litigation.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in personal injury, products liability, and construction litigation cases.
- Maintain a strong understanding of state and federal laws, court procedures, and legal precedents relevant to our practice.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure effective case management.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring that their rights are protected and their legal obligations are met.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each case and client.
- Attend court hearings, trials, and depositions, representing the interests of our clients with professionalism and integrity.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar of MD and in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of insurance defense litigation experience.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- Court experience in both district and circuit courts.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes favorably for our clients.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, opposing counsel, and team members.
