Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of litigation including court hearings, trials, depositions, discovery, pleadings, and appeals.
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and provide legal advice.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.
- Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve disputes.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys.
- Stay updated with current laws, recent judgments, and legal developments relevant to the practice area.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Michigan Bar license.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in litigation.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Proven experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare for trials.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
