Responsibilities
As a Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Represent plaintiffs in court
- Argue motions, meet with judges, and manage an active caseload of civil and personal injury cases
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases.
- Gather evidence to formulate and initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
- Negotiate settlements
- Supervise legal assistants and junior attorneys, and delegate tasks as necessary.
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney position should have the following qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar.
- 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Personal injury experience (plaintiff)
- Trial experience
- Spanish a plus
