We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry.
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a challenging yet rewarding environment where your technical skills will be put to the test.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our manufacturing processes.
You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, while also implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Responsibilities :
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning production and plant equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
- Evaluate problematic systems or facilities and recommend or implement improvements.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to understand their needs and assist in achieving department goals and objectives.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest new methods and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.
- Strong understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Proven mechanical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with accuracy and speed.
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance, with a track record of implementing effective maintenance programs.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions.
- High level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
- A relevant certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering would be an advantage.
