Responsibilities

As a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for

• Conducting extensive legal research and gathering relevant information for case preparation.
• Preparing and drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Managing the docketing system, ensuring all deadlines are met and court dates are calendared.
• Assisting in the preparation of hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations.
• Compiling trial notebooks and organizing exhibits.
• Coordinating the collection, review, and production of discovery documents.
• Liaising with medical providers to gather and analyze medical records pertinent to personal injury cases.
• Assisting attorneys with trial preparation including witness preparation and coordination.
• E-filing court documents and managing correspondence with opposing counsel and court officials.
• Providing comprehensive administrative support to the legal team, including managing client communications and case files.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years of experience specifically in personal injury litigation.
• Proficiency in legal research, docketing, law and motion practice, pleadings, and calendaring.
• Extensive experience in preparing for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• A strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to analyze medical records.
• Experience with e-filing systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work well in a team and independently.
• A paralegal certificate is a plus.
• Experience in Criminal Defense is desirable but not essential.
