Our company is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for managing financial statements, account reconciliation, general ledger, and assisting in month-end close. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial information to our management team by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. The role requires a high level of analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports.
2. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
3. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
4. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
5. Manage the company's general ledger and ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Perform account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
7. Assist in month-end close processes and procedures, providing accurate and timely reporting of monthly financials.
8. Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information for the annual audit.
9. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, and ensure that these are adhered to.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master's degree or a professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proven experience in managing financial statements, account reconciliation, general ledger, and assisting in month-end close.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
5. Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office suite, particularly in Excel.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
