We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This role will offer you an opportunity to utilize your tax law, tax advisory, and financial reporting skills in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You will be responsible for managing tax operations, advising on tax implications, and ensuring compliance with tax laws for our high net worth individuals and corporate clients. If you are a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for C-corps, S-corps, and high net worth individuals.
2. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
3. Advise on tax implications of business decisions and potential tax issues.
4. Maintain and update the organization's tax database to ensure accurate financial reporting.
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve tax-related issues.
6. Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support.
7. Stay abreast with the latest developments in tax law and regulations.
8. Train and mentor junior staff members on tax procedures and software.
9. Provide leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
10. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior Tax Manager.
3. Extensive knowledge of tax laws, tax accounting, financial reporting, and tax advisory.
4. Experience in dealing with high net worth individuals and corporate tax for C-corps and S-corps.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
10. High integrity and transparency with a commitment to regulatory compliance.
