The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires an individual who can manage and lead large-scale projects and teams, while ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effective execution. The Permanent Superintendent-Commercial will be a key player in the construction of ground-up projects such as churches, offices, and retail spaces.

Join our dynamic team as a Superintendent Commercial in the Construction industry! Our organization is seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong background in commercial construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires an individual who can manage and lead large-scale projects and teams, while ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effective execution. The Permanent Superintendent-Commercial will be a key player in the construction of ground-up projects such as churches, offices, and retail spaces.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Review the work progress on a daily basis.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in commercial construction, with a focus on ground up construction.
- Proven experience as a construction Superintendent or in a similar role.
- Procore experience.
