Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of trust and estate administration, including probate, trust accounting, estate tax returns, and distribution of assets.
2. Provide legal advice to clients on matters related to estate planning, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related legal documents.
3. Draft complex estate planning documents and implement sophisticated estate planning strategies.
4. Represent clients before the probate court and handle any litigation related to trusts and estates.
5. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
6. Stay updated on the latest developments, laws, and trends in trust and estate law to provide the most accurate and up-to-date advice to clients.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Trust & Estate Attorney position should possess the following:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in trust and estate law, including estate planning and administration of estates and trusts.
4. Proven track record of managing complex legal cases and delivering favorable outcomes for clients.
5. In-depth knowledge of trust and estate law, probate procedures, and tax implications.
6. Exceptional drafting skills with a keen eye for detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal solutions.
9. High level of professionalism and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
10. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
