Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required
- 10 years of progressive HR management experience, preferably in professional services or security/employment placement industries
- Experience managing unionized employees (strongly preferred)
- A broad generalist background in employment law, compensation, training, and organizational planning
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with a diverse workforce
- Strong skills in problem-solving, project management, and compliance
- High energy, agility in multitasking, and a clear sense of prioritization
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and staffing, ensuring optimal levels across all sites
- Organizational planning and workforce development, including succession planning
- Development and delivery of training programs, onboarding, and compliance initiatives
- Implementation of HR policies, procedures, and performance management systems
- Oversight of compensation strategy and benefits administration
- Employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Compliance with all local, state, and federal employment regulations, including OSHA
- Union grievance management and labor relations
- Execution of regular audits (I-9s, non-competes, confidential files, etc.)
- Presentation of recruiting and performance metrics to executive leadership
