What are the responsibilities and job description for the KTC Assistant On-Site Coordinator position at Johnston Community School District?
Position Summary:
- Assist with leadership, development, implementation and evaluation of school-age youth child care.
- Provide direct oversight to the implementation of a child care program at a specific location for youth in kindergarten through fifth grade
- Maintain a safe, clean, orderly, and fun environment for participants and staff
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly tasks in regards to completion of forms, communication with parents, and staffing
- Assist to supervise, manage and lead staff to ensure a quality experience for participants
- Ability to work a split shift as core hours, with additional and/or seasonal hours based upon the school calendar

- Must be HS graduate
- Some college coursework in education, early childhood, physical education or leisure services preferred
- Minimum of one-year experience working with children
- Work hours when school is in session: 6:15-9:00 am and 2:00-6:00 pm, Monday – Friday for 33.75 hours weekly. (Some weeks will be more based upon no school days)
- Work hours during the summer: 40 hours / week
- Salary $20.58/hr
