Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a lab, production, or hands-on technical role is a plus.
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable with repetitive, hands-on tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting and moving items up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on tasks in a lab setting.
Responsibilities:- Support the execution of routine laundry product performance tests for prototype evaluation and advertising claims.
- Perform standardized testing procedures (e.g., stain removal, softening) after training.
- Follow detailed standard operating procedures for washing, drying, staining, and test preparation.
- Independently prepare test materials (e.g., labeling fabrics and towels, preparing stains).
- Work under the guidance of senior staff; no experimental design or research responsibilities.
- Operate laundry equipment and basic lab instrumentation.
- Communicate with test requesters to clarify product details and test setup, as needed.
- Ensure stains are applied accurately and consistently, and that test results meet quality standards.
- Maintain lab cleanliness and supply inventory; assist with basic data collection for analysis by senior scientists.
- Collect and compile test data for review by department scientists.
- Assist with inventory and restocking of lab supplies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
