What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Joyce Meyer Ministries?

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries in Microsoft Navision with appropriate detail backup
- Perform bank reconciliations for Joyce Meyer Ministries and St. Louis Dream Center accounts
- Prepare allocations for journal entry use
- Produce and analyze required reports timely: may include Trial Balance, Financial Statements, Flux Analysis, various reports and other ad-hoc reporting requirements
- Assist management: preparation for mileage booklets, annual audit, writing procedures and complete special projects
- Work with fixed assets: additions, disposals, depreciation, year-end reports & yearly inventory tracking
- Communicate relevant updates to Assistant Controller
- Assist the Finance Department with general ledger account coding and Microsoft Navision functions
- Maintain personal knowledge base of current United States accounting standards
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office operating environment: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Knowledge of Microsoft Navision or similar program
- Ability to work within all levels of the organization
- Ability to work quickly under pressure
- Precise attention to detail
- Handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Problem-solving skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
