Everest Formulations (Ontario, CA) is a turnkey dietary supplement manufacturing company. The Director of Supply Chain Operations leads the supply chain function, including procurement, production planning, logistics and inventory management. The role ensures that the end-to-end supply chain operates effectively, maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and quality while optimizing costs and ensuring timely delivery of our products.
Essential JOB DUTIES
Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals, enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supply chain, including procurement, production planning, logistics, and inventory management.
- Vendor and Supply Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, and suppliers. Negotiate contracts, establish terms/dates, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Logistics Management: Supervise and improve transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to ensure that products are delivered efficiently and cost effectively.
- Project Management: Review project status and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
- Inventory Control: Optimize inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials without overstocking. Develop systems for tracking and managing inventory.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify opportunities to reduce supply chain costs through process improvement, vendor negotiation, and logistics optimization.
- Demand Planning & Forecasting: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and ensure alignment between demand planning and supply chain capacity.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including supply disruptions, fluctuating costs and chain capacity.
- Purchasing: Oversee purchasing activities in procuring materials, equipment, and services. Lead the execution, creation, and sustainability of purchasing requisitions. Assists with developing purchasing policies and procedures applicable within the department and among other departments as needed and applicable.
- Technology & Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and use of supply chain management software (ERP, WMS) to improve efficiency and data accuracy. Stay up to date with emerging technologies in supply chain management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all supply chain processes comply with applicable regulations, including safety, environmental and legal standards.
- Sourcing: Source suppliers, goods and services for the organization by conducting research, cost analysis, inventory control and forecasting for future project needs.
- Reporting & Analytics: Analyze supply chain performance using key metrics (on-time delivery, cost per unit, inventory turnover) and provide regular reports to executive leadership. Make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

· Strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an aptitude for reading the market.
· Proficient knowledge of quality system awareness as they apply to FDA cGMP standards.
· Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, Operations, Project Coordinators and Sales Team.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as government import/export regulations, vendor quotations and supply contracts.
SELECTION GUIDELINES
The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field. A master's degree (MBA) or advanced supply chain certifications – APICS, CSCP or Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
· 7- 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a track record of progressive leadership responsibilities.
· Proven experience in leading and managing large, complex supply chains, preferably in Nutraceutical – Pharma.
· Experience with Radius, IQMS, or similar ERP system.
§ Expert familiarity with dietary supplement raw ingredients & functions working in a lab environment or R&D setting, working with powder-based formular and flavoring.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities while at work:
· Required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during the course of the work shift.
· Required to regularly stoop, bend, kneel, lift, and reach, in the performance of this role.
· Required the use of hands, speech and hearing, and use of feet to operate machinery/equipment; Agility to operate and frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
· Lifting requirements: 25-35 lbs.; and the ability to move/push up to 25 lbs.
· The noise level in this work environment may be moderate to high.
· Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions.
· PPE requirements: Regular use of safety glasses, standard ear plugs, masks, safety shoes, and gloves.
