Join the Medical Assistant team in our orthopaedic clinic: great opportunity for a Medical Assistant, CNA, or Patient Care Tech to learn or improve upon technical skills such as casting, splinting, suture removal. Training in these skills will be provided.
Position Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides assistance to the physician and supporting providers with direct and indirect patient care during the clinical environment to include patient flow, patient transportation, exam room preparation, suture removal, injections, dressing changes, splinting, casting, application of soft goods, patient history and ROM measurements.
Provide accurate, thorough and complete documentation of all information pertinent to patient treatment.
Returns and responds to all calls relating to patient care.
Obtains necessary insurance authorization, referrals and Advance Beneficiary Notices (ABNs).
Provide appropriate information to patient and supporting persons regarding treatment plan.
Restocks equipment and supplies needed in the clinical area.
Observes universal precautions and OSHA requirements for healthcare facilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1 year experience performing patient care duties preferred
Valid, unrestricted Kansas Drivers License
