As we continue to expand our reach and engagement, KCRW is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in data-driven decision making.
Reporting to the Chief Audience Officer, the Data Analyst will work across the organization with the following key responsibilities:
Data Visualization and Reporting:
- Acquire, organize, and manipulate complex, large-scale data from disparate sources
- Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks that communicate key performance metrics and insights to stakeholders
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on performance benchmarks and milestones as related to business goals
Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
Content Performance Analysis:
- Analyze and assess the performance of content across various platforms including broadcast and digital/social, owned and third party, to identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
Provide insights on content preferences, audience behavior, and engagement metrics to enhance content strategy
Platform Expansion:
- Research and analyze new digital platforms and technologies to identify opportunities for expansion
Develop data-driven recommendations for KCRW’s presence on emerging platforms, ensuring maximum reach and engagement and opportunities for membership acquisition
Event Analytics:
- Evaluate success of events by analyzing attendee data, engagement levels and conversion rates
Collaborate with the marketing and events team to optimize strategies and improve overall impact, including partner, location, and revenue analysis
Conversion Analysis:
- Implement and analyze conversion funnels to understand user behavior and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize user journeys and increase conversion rates, with a specific focus on driving membership
Membership Growth Strategies:
- Work closely with the marketing, membership and development teams to develop strategies for acquiring and retaining members
Work closely with our Salesforce Admin, membership and development teams to analyze member data to understand preferences, patterns and churn rates, providing actionable insights for membership growth
- Acquire, organize, and manipulate complex, large-scale data from disparate sources
- Build automated, scalable, and integrated analysis models using modern data architectures
- Conduct campaign, product, content and audience analysis for company priorities
- Develop and report on key metrics to measure success and provide recommendations for current and future initiatives
Communicate effectively, distilling insights into concise and compelling data-driven stories and socialize broadly with internal teams across levels and functions
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, business analytics or a related field
- 5 Years of proven experience as a Data Analyst in content, entertainment or related industry
- Experience manipulating large datasets and interpreting data trends from multiple disparate data sources
- Proficient in data dashboards and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power Bl.
- Proficient in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and streaming services (TikTok, FB/IG, Youtube, Spotify, Apple), and new technologies
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Hubspot)
- Familiarity with Nielsen broadcast metrics
- Strong time management with ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities and teams
- Excellent communication skills
- A love for Los Angeles
What We Offer
- The applicable annual salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including; relevant experience, location, business needs, and market demand.
